Every town I've ever lived in the cops look the other way when cyclists do stupid and illegal stuff. Here in Indiana the mindset of the cops is that if a cyclist gets killed it's their fault. The cops here also don't enforce lighting or reflectors on bikes at night, with that the mindset of the cops and the law takes a very ominous turn for the worse, if a car runs a red light or stop sign or whatever and is at fault technically for the accident BUT the bicycle had no reflectors or lights...the driver is not held responsible!!

We have no 3' law here either, which is something I've been trying to get the politicians to pass here in Indiana...but they act like they don't care about cyclists, which is weird because a few of those same politicians ride bikes!
