Same as you. Around home I just use my regular bike since there is no need to fold and it's nice to have larger wheels. But the folder gets to have the privilege to be used on bike tours like the one in a couple of days.
BTW, that's what I purchased my folder for - recreational cycling or touring when I'm on an (airplane) trip.
