Most cages hold pretty wide water bottles. A standard plastic water bottle (16.9 oz) will not fit securely. Looking for a snug fit. Only reason I want to use a disposable bottle is so that I won't have to worry about a fancy $10 bottle from being stolen. Based on the places I lock up my bike I'd bet any such bottle would get stolen within a month. Maybe it'd last three months if I was super lucky. That's city biking for you *shrugs*.
