Your Alex must have high spokes count. Riding with my 32 spokes Alex wheels was always a wrestling match in crosswind but with my low spokes count R550, it's always a smooth ride. I'm also a lightweight if that matters.
I'm not sure what the spoke count is but the problem isn't nearly as bad on my wife's bike, has different wheels. She has a Fuji ACR 2.0. Her wheels are something like Shimano R20s or something...
