I use the OpenStreetMap maps, but you do need to be careful with them. I've seen roads mysteriously disappear after an update (but eventually reappear after an arbitrary delay), and for some reason the March 2013 update does not recognize the city of Gallup, NM: all the streets are there but trying to find an address it would not recognize Gallup, NM as a city.
