Did my first 200K "official" brevet on April 20th. Weather was pretty good, no tailwind in the AM but we picked up a good headwind with wind gusts of 25 MPH for the last 48 miles, but it can easily be worse than that for this route in the spring.

Had another 200K last year but was not a RUSA member.
Also decided to join RUSA (#8720)
Have an unofficial 200K this Saturday for training of a double century the last week of June (140+ miles first day and 100+ miles the next morning). Will probably do another 200K training ride next month before the double century. Last year we ran temps of 108 and 102 degrees for the end of June ride.
Now that I'm in RUSA want to get over to Houston to ride with the group sometime. Maybe a 300K, we'll see.
