Bmike, I`m curious about your "knee clearance". With that roll on top of your DT (top pic), do your knees brush the cargo and it just doesn`t bother you, or does everything clear? I tried (briefly) riding with a load under my TT and the slight contact with each pedal stroke drove me bonkers. I`m not sure if I`m just overly sensitive to that or if my odd leg positioning is to blame. I`m on the verge of being able to ditch the panniers for nice weather weekends, and being able to stash a little bit in the front triangle would probably be enough to make that happen.
