The seat post is fine. I have a line scratched in it and it hasn't slipped.
My knees felt much better today and I did a slow and easy 12.5 miles today without incident. I am not going to do the metric on Saturday though, between forecasted rain and cold, and the fact that I do not appear to be in shape for the ride, I am going to do the 50k instead.
