I'm not the OP, but to the extent you can, up the vegetables and fish (especially salmon) in your diet and get rid of refined carbohydrates and saturated fats. Chicken also works great for a protein. The big trick is avoiding the snacks or snacking healthy (like fruit). People who really make it work get it down to a science in terms of food prep and usually make all their stuff the preceding day, although it doesn't take a lot of time once you're accustomed to it.

You can usually get a relatively inexpensive consult with a dietician who can make you the outline of a plan that will work for you. Lots of certified trainers will also do it.
