Add Lafayette to your list. Buses with bike racks on front go to/from Boulder frequently and it's generally more affordable than Louisville. I'm in Broomfield, which is also within your desired distance. Eventually, there will be a dedicated bikeway along the Boulder Turnpike (US36):
