I haven't managed to do a full SR series for the last couple of years due to scheduling, and this year is the same. My fall-back last year for a longer ride was the ROMA Appalachian Double Cross 1000k, which is conveniently located near my Dad's house and in October after most of my scheduling conflicts are over. I haven't made any real plans, but at this point it looks like if I want to do anything longer than the Fleche this year, I'll be doing it again. Anyway, I forgot my camera battery last time, so I'd like to go back and take some photos this time.
And seeing as I was the only entrant last year, I can afford to decide at the last minute... not like it's going to fill up.
It's a tough one, but it is definitely scenic. If anyone's looking for something pretty and low-key (and with 57,000 feet of climbing), I'd love some company! (although I ride at a sort of weird pace sometimes, especially in mountains)
