Nice post. You should re-post it in the "Classic and Vintage" forum. There have been a good many Centurion posts in the past. I have a Centurion ProTour that I bought new in 1985. I was told it had been in the shop for a while so I presumed it was 1984 or earlier. It is a copper/gold-ish color, built with Tange Championship #2 tubing and Suntour components. It has served me well, was my only bike for 12+ years, and it still has most of the original components. I have had to replace rear deraileur, brake levers, front wheel. It doesn't see a lot of miles today but I could never part with it.
