Next time I put together a show bike I'll think about all that. This is just a purpose build daily commuter for the 22 km I have to cover twice a day: don't need two bottle holders for that, most parts are from the spare parts box, love Campagnolo especially the crankset, love raw steel, don't like tan saddles or gum hoods on a bike that will see a lot of wind and rain. Antonio Taverna did a a great job building me a cheap but custom Deda Zero-Uno frameset to the exact specs of my Merlin Extralight. Custom stem and post would triple what I spend on this bike, if not more. Wheels were fitted for the photos, I have a similar set but with already worn GP4 rims and I'm building up a set of high profile Record hubs from the spare parts box with polished low profile Campagnolo Omegas.
