Oh hey, that's even better. No disk to get dinged up on accident...very nice. I'll have to go find a retailer so I know what I'm getting into.

Even if I get it all in parts, I suppose I can pay the LBS to lace it proper.

The bike itself comes stock with single pull calipers. I intend to ride it stock a while to give myself a strong familiarity with it before I delve into the upgrades, but I already have in mind to emulate those European city bikes, one step at a time.

Could also just buy said city bikes, but I'm in it for the step by step process - lot of you guys talk upgrades so this is where I come in.

Is it possible to run rear and front lights off the same dynamo? The stock bike comes with IGH and I'm not sure if I want to go and scrap that for a IGH + Dynamo set-up. I think I plan to keep the caliper breaks on the rear, though, unless I stumble upon (or am suggested to look at) something nicer. I have a strong dislike for pedal-operated breaks, however.
