Ouch...what I didn't mention are all the upgrades to the bike to get it to the point it's at. Plus I've replaced all bolts on the bike (fenders, racks, the seat bolt in question, etc) with stainless, and all nuts with stainless, nylon lock nuts, which helped a lot in the reliability dept. the good news is that after a year or so you'll have replaced enough parts that it will be like a new bike
