Did the ride to Carlisle from Lancaster. Pretty good ride.
230 W out of Mount Joy the whole way to Harrisburg.
Then, left onto Paxton St to Market St. Cross the river on Market St. bridge, bear left at light and ride that through Lemoyne to signs for 11/15. Make left, and then right onto 641/Trindle Rd, which runs through Mechanicsburg and then right to Carlisle.

You would probably come out my way using 230 into Highspire and then you would hook-up with the Greenway but I'm struggling to see what you would do on the west side of the river.
