True, the ones he lands his legs actually absorb a lot of the impact. The crashes are much harder on the bike. The outtakes video doesn't have that many crashes, so either they didn't show them all or he's not pushing himself.
I would love to know what those wheels were because they took a serious pounding. They weren't the usual Team Sky race wheels. Things like the jumps on the cross-bars are like the ultimate abuse for wheels (single point impact). I'm mainly curious if they're Al or CF.
