Did a ride with an old friend yesterday.

I took my beater bike down to the Katy Trail for the first time since I broke my hip. I was happy with how the now higher handlebar felt on my back and neck and the longer crank didn't upset my hip very much. I love that old bike.

It was nice to just do a carefree ramble for a couple of hours. I chatted with a couple of folks that i met on the train and fixed a flat tire for a woman - even paid it ahead using my own spare inner tube.

About 20 miles was all that my body wanted to do. In fact, when I got back to my car, I had to get off by laying my bike on the ground. All-in-all a good day.
