Well shoot... that's a bummer. Like what was said, I imagine you just got a lemon. I've had walmart bikes in the past.. never had one break like that. Their performance stunk, but they never just flat broke after a couple days. Since getting a bike from the local bike shop a month or two ago, I can now see the difference, and the price I paid (500), has been well worth it. In the past I was like you.. didn't want to spend much on a bike. But it's worth it when you know it's bike that'll be around for awhile, and you always have great support from the folks at the bike store. I think if I were you, and going back to Walmart, I'd avoid those FS bikes and get a hardtail. One less thing to break. LOL.
