I hadn't heard of Claris before so I went reading. Interesting that in this
link, Bike Radar describes the gearing as:
...while doubles will be a standard 50/34T or compact 46/34T.
Sounds like they're saying the 50/34 is the new "Standard" and 46/34 is the new "Compact".
