I doubt there's any difference in perceived aerodynamics. The head tube on the Secteur is 15-20mm taller. Judging by bar height in the OP's photo position could be setup identically on both bikes. Endurance geometry typically results in less twitchy handling which may be what the OP is feeling.
They are very similar. The Trek feels just a bit more race posture than the Secture did. On the Secture I wasnt uncomfortable. But the Trek just ups my comfort level. Im certain it will be different for everyone. Im not selling Treks here, just stating the bike is more in my wheel house than most I have ridden.
