Homemade leather Brompton carrying handle

I have small hands, and carrying a folded Brommie by the saddle nose or frame wasn't working for me.

I wanted a carrying handle, in honey leather or close to it to match the rest of the bike. There were some online but rather pricey. I thought I could work up something else.

I dug through my pile of old stuff. I found a leather strap that was used for a camera bag way back when. Time to repurpose. I wrapped it around the Brommie frame, looping it fore and aft.

The strap is probably a yard long with clasp ends and a movable handle/oval support. Because of the bare metal clasp ends, I wrapped a couple sections of Brommie tube with scraps of synthetic leather bar tape to protect the frame first.

Much, much easier to just reach down and grab the folded bike now. Cost: Free.
