I actually want to turn this into a touring rig, ditching most of it except the frame, my dilemma is that this is completely original from 1994 except for the grips. it's also only done about 20 hours as far as I can tell from the rim wall/gear wear, etc.
Am I destroying a valuable/important relic? Should it be preserved so we can all see where the commercial side of MTB started out. Or am I clearly delusional and in dire need of good long ride somewhere nice on my soon to be custom tourer?
