I know Selle Anatomica will re-skin saddles, for 2/3 the price of a new one or so, not sure if anyone does this with Brooks.
HA!!! You don't know Bob like I know Bob. He is my good riding buddy when he is in Austin for the winter. He has too many nice old road bikes to count and is proud to have less than $100 in most of them! He would go to the grave before buying a new Brooks saddle or even paying to have it refurbished. He drives a hard bargain at Frankenbike meets. Wouldn't surprise me if a leather worker offered him a scrap piece and he talked him down on the price.
