Chose a climb I'd held off riding due to its fierce reputation and it didn't disappoint! I drove east 115km to the small town of Noojee and rode up Mt Baw Baw and back - 97km 2977m elevation gain. Last 6.8km of the climb averaged 12.6%!

I'm trying to wrap my head around 2,700 ft of climbing in 4 miles. The hardest climb I do with any frequency is the top of Mt. Baldy (see past editions of the Amgen Tour of California). It is a bout 1,500 ft of climbing in 3.2 miles and that just about kills me.

Should be enough to get some separation in a January race.
Early morning tomorrow for some event thing for a mag.
