The shot was taken on Tantalus Drive, in Oahu, Hawaii. It can be seen, albeit going in the opposite direction, at 10:37 of the following
video off a motorbike. The beauty of this loop, other than the natural beauty, is that it's either going up or down, there is very little flat, and each loop is about 10 miles so it's very easy to work in an efficient ride, even when one is on "vacation."
