Yes and no. Depending on how the glove is shaped / tailored, you may be putting excess pressure on specific points in your hand. This wouldn't be an issue however if you put less weight on your hands, leading me to believe that in order to alleviate your hand numbness, you must tweak your position to get the extra weight off your hands, and back on to the saddle.
