There was a guy in the Fixed Gear forum that did this last year and everyone harassed him about it. It was quite comical.
Although I know cutting the first post was dumb, I'll probably cut the second post to offset the weight of the chain guard. The Enve post is 400mm. I can't imagine it being a problem again.
