The Amtrak goes from Edmonds to Mt. Vernon leaving at 8am for an hour or so trip and returns leaving Mt. Vernon at 7pm. The cheapest fair, with bike, is $32 R/T with free parking around Edmonds. I am planning on going on a day during spring break Mar 17-21. The Farmers Almanac says that time of March will be sunny and dry and who doesn't trust the Farmers Almanac anyway? i just emailed a friend in Oak Harbor asking her to join me.
