Major hassle to degrade. Just buy an extra set of Campy 8 speed wheels. It's probably cheaper in the long run. You can pick up real nice Campy 8 speed Chorus level wheels on ebay for $100 - $150 complete. Sometimes they come with cassette and lockring. 8 speed derailleurs are another story though.
