Hi from NYC

I moved to a new neighborhood about half a year ago and started biking to work everyday. The experience has changed my life, I'm sure that's something you hear often. I love the way cycling has opened up the city, how fit I've gotten and how much freedom riding a back has given me. Although I'm lucky to have a few good friends who know a lot about cycling, I thought it might be nice to ask some questions. I've been trawling the forums for about half a year and have gotten a lot out of reading, looking forward to learning and participating more.

Right now I'm riding an old Motobecane super mirage that I had my LBS convert to a single speed. I recently took advantage of the abysmal weather and bought a Merckx Super Corsa frameset which I'd like to build up myself. At the moment my interest is mainly in vintage bikes and urban biking.
