Not seat back and high, old school roadie style] His thinking is back produces more torque, while the prevailing thinking is that moving forward you may be able to get more speed, and of course can be lower. Always a balance. His model was the French sprint squad of the late 90's early 00's, Gane, Rousseau, Tournant, Magne. Those guys look pretty far back.
