Not sure why, but the vast majority of the kids (maybe 80%) were Asian.
Getting their extracurriculars in so they look good on college apps? I was definitely not a Caucasian Tiger Mom but the Asian kids adopted my daughter, she picked up motivation from them by osmosis, and is at college on nearly full-scholarship. (She's gonna have a very small amount of student loans but nothing like you'd expect for a college costing ~$60,000 per year.)
