Well, I don't want to hijack your thread or start pontificating about my personal solution, etc.. But I will say I'm intolerant of giving up happy hours, great craft beers, luscious & rich multi-course dinners, juicy steaks, fresh bread, and the occasional killer dessert. Obviously, I like to eat out..and I mean eat...not tip toe through the menu looking for vegan alternatives. I also have no interest in spending time in the kitchen preparing recipes, worrying about this or that substitute or any of that stuff. Unlike you, the kitchen is where I go to make coffee and that's about it. But like you, I am interested in being a hard body. So, I went the intermittent fasting route, simply no food 'til 5pm six days a week, (I like brunch on Sundays). Easy peasy. Not for everyone, but perfect for some people.
