Small zucchini, cut lengthwise like a pickle spear (if really small, I do halves instead of spears). Put 'em in a gallon ziplock bag with some olive oil and spices of choice (salt+pepper for us). Shake and let sit while the grill preheats, then remove from bag and toss zucchini on the upper rack of the grill. Turn after 5 minutes. After a 8-10 minute head start at ~400 degrees, put the steaks on. Don't let them burn, remove early if req'd.

For bonus points, shake on some Parmesan cheese.
