So to provide them with a place where they could discuss anything in comfort a passcode-protected women's forum was created. Women who didn't feel the need for it didn't use it, those who did, did.

most of the sausagefest forums i've been on have a ladies only area for this reason. they're not always hidden, but the ones that are usually end up with slightly more personal discussions. i don't think they're necessary, but i don't mind that they exist.
