Hello from Louisville, KY

Hi guys. I'm a 31 year old former runner. For various reasons, I amassed numerous injuries and had to give it up around 2005. I'm just now discovering cycling, and the fact that I can ride without aggravating my old running injuries. I came across this quite by accident. I work in a chemical plant where you can't throw a rock without hitting a bike, and I have grown to love cycling. As of right now, I am training on a Giant Nutra hybrid that I picked up off Craigslist. I love the bike, though I wish I had been a little more informed before getting into this sport. The only complaints I have right now are that my upper back can get incredibly sore after a ride.

So, I hope to learn a lot from you guys and ultimately one day be a contributor to the forums. The learning curve on bikes is actually a bit steep (a saddle, isn't that for horses?). Shoot, just airing up a presta valve tire has been a (mis)adventure. Anyways, I'll see you all around the forums.
