It was a bit cold on the way up! One of the advantages of going to The Village . . . the sun came out about mile 16 ! From then on it was
comfortable if not exactly toasty. We did spend about 1-1/2 hr. eating breakfast at The Lodge, so it was a lot warmer by the time we started back (and, of course, warmer still the more altitude we lost going down to Glendora).

Good to hear your rookie made it to the shack. Next time, The Village!
