I posted a similar rant a few weeks back. Bike was on sale for $100 negotiable. I was thinking about picking it up for $100 or likely, less. The next day, same bike was on sale for $250. People more knowledgable than I said the bike was only worth $100 to $150 at most.
Ebay has had a bike for sale locally for months, it is an old Huffy 10 speed, worth $100 if it was in showroom shape. The seller wants $599. I guess if he waits long enough, inflation might get to the point where someone is willing to spend $600 on it, but that will be years from now.
Heck, the Classics & Vintage forum has a thread specifically for laughing at ridiculous CL ads. It is amazing what shows up in CL.
