as with most jobs i've had that reveal the back side of an industry, i now have a different understanding for customer service issues. sometimes it is bull****. sometimes things happen. sometimes your hands are tied by the manufacturer.
either way, if someone says they will call, they should contact you somehow - even if it's just an update of "we're still looking into this".
