I admit it, I'm a wuss. I hate riding in the rain. The Showers Pass jacket is good insurance for days when the forecast is wrong, but not incentive enough for me to ride when I know it's gonna rain. However, I will ride in the rain sometimes when I can't help it or going stir crazy from too many days of rain.
+1 if it is a cold rain but a warm, summer rain (as long it is not torrential and we don't get too many of those here) is not so bad. I haven't ridden to camp during or after a rainy day on 28km (17mi) of dirt road, that would require me to ride right into the lake to clean both myself and my bike of all the mud (actually, that sounds like it might be fun, I might try it).
