what difference could it possibility make. In the grand scheme of things.... the internal combustion engine will have a relatively short life span.... as did steam and pneumatic powered factory machinery. Like horse manure was a huge burden on humans just six generations ago.... automobile emissions will be a forgotten problem in the near future.
In order to make an omelet... you have to crack a few eggs. The mess created in the process of living... is just a part of the progress.
