Brian, filtersweep and others made the point that maybe no system is necessary, but I have a feeling that most riders do have a system that works for them, even if they never took the time to put it into words. Anyway, I was really just as interested in how non-VC cyclists actually ride as I was in a system per se.
Ricardo, your story was fascinating. How would you describe your street riding techniques since you moved to Berkeley? A lot different? At least you don't need body guards!
