Cool, but even if something like that made sense for a long trip, I'm looking to take it easy on the pup.
I'm building up the bike so that my pup and I can finish our hike on the AT. We left a couple years back from Springer Mt. GA and made it a little past half way before the pup said he had enough and we headed home. The plan is to ride from FL to Waynesboro, VA, following the general path of the AT (Six Gap, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc) then paddle the Shenandoah River to Harpers Ferry, WV where we will pick up the AT and hike to Maine.
I don't know how far the pup will be able to hike this time, but I'm prepared to leave him with friends while I finish the hike if he cant make it. I want to at least take him on a nice long adventure if and before he gets left behind.
