Does any one buy actual BIKES on-line?

I have been reading some threads about LBS vs. On line and it got me to wondering if any one buys the actual bike itself from an on-line vendor. In this case I am NOT talking about BD, but actually "brand name" consumer model bikes from the likes of Trek or Giant.

The follow up would be, if so, how were you treated at the LBS if you needed service or had warrantee issues and what, if any service/support did the on-line vendor offer?
