In any case, I suspect you've done some tough rides leading up to this ride, no?
My first century of any kind. My previous best was last years same ride, metric version with a bit less than 3000 ft climbing. My longest training ride this season as 52 mi with around 4000' climbing, a local loop.Writing from Maui now where it's been pouring the whole time. Picked up my bike yesterday in Kihei on the dry side of the island where I store it at a friends and the chain had rusted so much I couldn't turn the back wheel. In my haste leaving last fall I failed to oil it up real good. About 45min with wd40 and working the links back and forth and it's working now but may need a a new chain, will see. I had hoped for a big ride today but too wet.
