This is the last thing I'm going to say on the subject. When you join the military you fully understand that you follow the orders of the Commander in Chief, the President of the United States. You don't pick and choose where you go or who you fight. Your untimely death or that of those around you is a distinct and real possibility. I fully understood that. Pretty much. If you want to serve in the military, stupid wars are part of the deal in America. It's like our national hobby. Whether an American dies on D-Day in a 'good' war or in Vietnam in a war that maybe we shouldn't have engaged in, their sacrifice is just as noble, the unimaginable debt we owe them and their families just the same.
