Stock Shimano RS10 vs Mavic Krysium

Thinking of an upgrade, and a nice set of wheels is a good way of slipping an N+1 past the wife. The RS 10's that came stock on the bike are OK, but I had a spoke go twang on the rear at about 2500 miles. (I am a little bit Clyde) I know a really good wheel builder who is trying to sell me a set of Krysium Elites. He is a LBS owner and a pretty straight up guy. He rebuilt a set of wheels on a hybrid I had been popping spokes on, and was trouble free after the rebuild.

I am in no position to be a weight weenie, but I do know a little physics and understand the bit about rotational inertia and acceleration, so can justify the purchase on those grounds. What are your thoughts on the merits of the two? I don't remember the price he was asking for the pair, about $600, but he deals, especially since he knows he gets repeat business from me.
