EPILOGUE: Since many of you have shown appreciation for my Dumpster Darling Redline, you'll be happy to know it has gone on to another, hopefully more appreciative owner.
I put flat bars back on it, swapped in a saddle and a less-bent RD from the junk bin, took off the rack for my next drop bar bike and dumped the thing on CL:
Took almost a week to sell, but the first guy to actually come by and look at it took it.
