I can tell you this. Even when you race -and win- against younger, healthier people you still won't get respect. Not a single one of the last three races I was in left me feeling I was being given any respect. While I won each race hands down none of the other racers even gave me a tip of the hat. In each case I ended up riding home without a word. I would think that the fact that I beat each of them in spite of the fact they had THREE wheels for speed....well...that should garner some respect. To add insult to injury they were all younger than I am, each probably a healthy 5 yrs old or so...and still they didn't stop to congratulate me. What is the world coming to? Rant over.
